Dumpton Gap has sandy beach, flint accumulations and a chalk wave-cut platform where patient searching can reveal echinoids, shells and sponges. Finds are not especially abundant, but the local flint bands give this coast considerable geological interest. Cretaceous, Cliffs and Foreshore, Rating: ♦♦
