The rugged shore north of Camustianavaig rewards careful observation with Jurassic ammonites and large fossil shells, set beneath the dramatic slopes of Beinn Tianavaig. Fossil-rich blocks, dark shale and younger plant-bearing rocks tell several different chapters of Skye’s geological history.
